(en) The installation is based on one of the countless photographs of destroyed schools in Ukraine. Bogdan Tomashevsky has transferred the photo of the ruin in an abstract way into an installation consisting of a massive concrete staircase landing. The outlines of the schoolroom are reproduced by metal elements on the wall. On the floor there is a drawing by the artist’s son.
(de) Die Installation basiert auf einem der zahllosen Fotos zerstörter Schulen in der Ukraine. Bogdan Tomashevsky hat das Foto der Ruine auf abstrakte Weise in eine Installation übertragen, die aus einem massiven Betontreppenabsatz besteht. Die Umrisse des Schulraums werden durch Metallelemente an der Wand wiedergegeben. Auf dem Boden ist eine Zeichnung des Sohns des Künstlers zu sehen.
